This is my first post and I read the rules and searched the forum before I posted but couldnt find anything...
I was looking for software which will allow me to catalog (either manually or automatically) the many ISO images of movies I have ripped to my hard drive.
The main feature I am looking for is the ability to add a cover picture and be able to browse the movies like I would DVDs. However, I need to be able to link the pictures to the ISO files and have the default program open the ISO file and start the movie for me. Sort of like itunes when double clicking on an album...
Does software like this exist? If so what is its name?
Thanks in advance...

I use vlc media player to do something similar, but it doesn't have a thumbnail linking to each ISO. I just add each ISO to the playlist. When you open the playlist you see the name of all your ISO and one small thumbnail of the ISO that you click on.
When you click on the thumbnail it will play the ISO in fullscreen.

XBMC can do it,well it certainly does on my old xboxes & since there are versions for windows, linux & OS they should be able to do it also, the real beauty is you can have either thumbs or dvd style covers & a whole stack of other view styles as well as skins,as yet all i've done on my comps is set them up to catalogue the movies i haven't got around to thumbnail or covers as yet,oh yeah you can add stuff like the plot as you would see on the back cover of a dvd label, yeah that's about as much as i can tell ya you'll have to give it a whirl to see what it can do,you8 may need to add scripts to get the movie to play when cliking a thumb but those scripts can be downloaded or perhaps it plays em automatically when set up,i'm not sure since i didn't set up xbmc on my xboxes

This was extremely helpful, thanks. Just one more question, how exactly can I add the thumbnail DVD covers to my ISOs. They just show as generic files.

Once you install XBMC, you can automatically download thumbnails, movie info, cast...from IMDB, or set a custom one.

XBMC it's an awsome application. Usually I do the scan manually, as sometimes it picks up the wrong movie if there is a similarly named one.

I have no idea as i never set my xboxes up i had it done for me,so i'm not sure if there is a setting in xbmc that makes it happen or whether a script is needed & i haven't as yet got around to setting up xbmc on my computer to mimic the xbox functions,so far it's only got the movie folders loaded
