Is it possible to create rip a DVD, creating a VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive, then pulling those files straight to Nero for the burn....or does DVD Shrink or DVD2One(either one)positively, absolutely have to be the "middle man"? is a "middle man" required when using DVD Decrypter and Nero?

Yes, you've got to compress, how on earth are you going to make a 6-7G VIDEO_TS folder fit onto a 4.37 blank dvd ??.

Ya need just a little thought here my friend -

Think about taking a weeks worth of your clothes (assuming you aren't an animal and wear nothing). We ARE assuming that you change your clothes daily. OK, got the picture ?
Good, now it comes out of the clothes dryer, it needs to be folded, some needs to be pressed and we need to put it away into our drawers.

OK, you don't understand how they relate - No worries, I'll be glad to explain - all your clothes are files, one sock equals 1 file.

The original DVD has jumbled files, your clothes are jumbled in the clothes dryer. You need to put the DVD's files in order to prepare to send them to your blank DVD and compress them where necessary. Your clothes need to be folded in preparation to be put away in your dresser drawers and some need to be pressed as necessary. Your computer needs to burn your files to disc. You need to put your clothes away.

Now, you have to sort out some clothes (you need some physical place to lay them down) and - See that, I knew you were going to figure it out - yep, where were you going to press them - well the PC needs to use your HD to lay out the files, to be able to sort through them, throw out the odd sock and to compress those files just like you need someplace to work with your cloths - Therefore we have to burn to HD, no choice -
