I'm not sure of the details as to why but Rock Band is rated better and Guitar Hero has more players. There will be more people to play with online on Guitar Hero but critically, Rock Band has scored better in reviews. Check out the reviews at Gamespot.com.

I have the original rock band and Guitar Hero: world tour. Guitar hero is harder than rock band when using guitar. I think the guitar hero is a little easier to use than the rockband although rockbands guitar looks cooler. The difficulty can get pretty tough on rock band too, but guitar hero is harder for the crazy fanatic gamers. lol World tour is fun especially for multiple players. The drums work well and look neat, and has good songs. I think you will be happy with either, both good games.

Rock Band is the better choice. The Rock Band 2 instruments are very nice to use, especially the drum set compared to the Guitar Hero drums. Guitar Hero used to have the harder guitar songs but I feel this his become less of an issue now that they've switched to full band songs. Taste is subjective but Rock Band 2 + the Rock Band 1 transfer has a much better song selection, including a few songs that are in GH.

DLC for Rock Band also blows GH out of the water. Radio Radio by Elvis Costello? COME ON.

I have GH2, GH3, GH:Aerosmith, GH: Metallica, GH:WT, Rock Band1, Rock Band 2, AC/DC Live!

So it kinda tells you I play these games alot.

Rock Band 2 is the absolute BEST at "feeling" right. It just feels and flows more naturally.

Guitar Hero is overcharted on expert. Not every song mind you... but some... It IS getting better at that since GH:WT though.

Let's just put it this way.. I buy ALOT of DLC for Rock Band 2, I buy a little bit of DLC for GHWT. If a song is on both systems for DLC, I ALWAYS pick RB2.
