Look up the keywords "PSP 3000 gripshift exploit" It requires the game gripshift, and a save exploit. Believe it or not they found a way to downgrade the psp 3000, but it's just that they didn't RELEASE the patch yet, because they don't want sony to patch it on 5.03, even though they did, they still won't release it yet for some reason. Just be patient.

Hey, I'm always looking for hacks for the 3000 because I have one but I don't actively search for hacks as I do not play it much anyway.
My question is, even with the gripshift exploit, and being able to downgrade the FW, it still doesn't do much to help because you can't get it into service mode to load any homebrew, or am I wrong?

actually there is Some homebrew for it like a simple helloworld and a pong game, hey better than nothing right... but im sure if you keep watching the psp scene there will be TONS more to come, and here is a file you can use to develop games or applications you can download here

Sorry, I misread something along there.
No, it will not run Iso's yet. They are working on it now. But just being able to run HomeBrew is a great thing on the 3000's.

I hope you read my above amended post. Again, very sorry for the misunderstanding. It allows you to run homebrew only, no Iso's yet. And yes, there is a way to hack the 2000's with the "unhackable" motherboard using this method.
All information can be found at that link. For the 2000's look for the Custom Firmware Enabler on the same site.

well i did check out ChickHen it says it CANNOT put CFW on that v3 motherboard. @jcalton88 i think u misread again. What a bummer! The ability to play snes is a good news though!

Heh I've been impatiently waiting for the 3000 to be hacked to play isos, and now we hear that the 4000/Go will be released this summmer!
Man now I want to get that one but probably involve wating another year before someone hacks it :P
