I am very new to this. I have DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter downloaded. I transfered a movie to my hard drive using the DVD Shrink and all seemed to have went well. When I open DVD Decrypter to burn my back up copy there are two folders for the movie I just ripped, A video TS folder and a Audio TS folder on my hard drive. My problem is These folders wont open as my source to burn from ? I dont know what to do ?

To burn with DVD Decrypter you would need to have had DVD Shrink output the ripped DVD as an .ISO file !

If you have something like Nero tho , just burn as DVD-Video (add all VOB/BUP/IFO files to red VIDEO_TS folder).

And if you have recordnow just put it all in a VIDEO_TS folder in data disk. Autoburning with dvd shrink is the only useful thing i found with nero, ;)
Oh, and some older dvd players need a AUDIO_TS folder aswell or it doesn't navigate so well, even if that audio-ts folder is empty, i've only come across one of these players, and it was a cheaper make, so prolly nothing to worry about there, but it doesn't hurt to err on the side of caution once in a while, eh?

I persoanlly dont use that method , but I've heard that latest (3.1.7 I think) has the option to give .ISO as an output...

So I'd imagine it's in Options/Settings jmk115 ;-)

HERBSMAN, I have the latest version . 3.1.7. There is no output for ISO that I see. What do you recommend and what software do you use ?

THANKS

jmk115,

Using DVD Shrink, when time comes to select ?Backup?, take just a second and under ?Target Device? go to ?Select target device? once there, select ?ISO Disc Image?. NEXT tick ?Launch DVD Decrypter to burn the output image? box. Finally, where it says ?Select target image file?, browse till you find where you wish to place your Shrink files (I always create a folder first so I know where it is - then send my ISO files there)

When I use Decrypter I pick up the ISO files from there then burn them to disk using Decrypter in the ISO write mode :P)

Enjoy,

Pete
