This is a original release date Japanese fat PSP (psp1000). Well it was at CFW 5.0 and I created a pandora's battery out of my psp's battery and memory stick to put a custom firmware on my friend's slim psp. After that I followed the directions and recovered my psp, which worked fine the night I was done. The next day it didn't work and then I just got lazy and thought my PSP died.

BUT now I really badly want to play some recent games and when I try to turn my PSP on, nothing happens, with the memory card in or out and the battery in or out. Ive tried multiple combinations and nothing, not even with just the power cord on. I am sure i turned my Pandora back into a normal battery but can someone point me in the right direction on how to check if its normal and if there is some type of recovery menu or something?

If you were playing about with the battery you have probably blown the PSP fuse - do not use the same battery after the fix - use the power lead.

Google psp fuse and it will show you where they are - test and see if good or bad

I dont think the fuse is broken... it turns on...

actually i got it to boot, I needed to make another magic memory stick and now with the left trigger i can enter the pandora menu which is

"install 5.0 m33"
"install 5.0 cfw"
"nand operations"
"hardware info"
"test m33"
"shutdown"
"reboot device"

Now how I turn the battery back into a normal batter? I can boot into the system fine using "test m33" and play games etc but once I shut it down and restart it goes back to the same thing again.
