Had the same problem, I didn't do the hybrid but homemade fix. I put two washers on bottom, two on top, and then one on each memory chip under the heatsink. That was 2 weeks ago and it's still running strong.

well 0013 is ram overheating so hopefully you didn't sand them.

No I didn't sand the ram lol I just put thermal paste on them I guess I will take alto off and retry. I was sanding the plastic strips that the hybrid says to lay around the chip to even out the pressure to get a perfect imprint of the chip.
*edit how exactly do cool the ram down

I'm in the same boat. Did the xclamp fix and put a washer on each memory chip. Worked for two weeks and now it's back.

If it's 0102 use the eraser/penny fix on the 4 bottom memory chips, it seriously works just dont use really thick ones (3mm max) so you don't flex the board. I fixed 2 doing that without the x-clamp replacement ones been running for 6 months and the other only done today lol (rubbers all over this one little ones under the middle of the x-clamps for pressure and it wouldn't run until i messed with the heatsink screws gpu error then cpu error), the only reason i done this is because i have no x-clamp replacement kit but if it goes i'll get one.
note: If you use pennies DO NOT USE 3 like people say as it's not good for the board, use 2 at max.

When doing the penny trick, are you putting two under the memory chips under the heat sink?

no its usually 3 pennies on the 4 ram chips on the bottom of the motherboard. thus the "12 cent fix". But I would just try 2. 3 is kinda pushing it in my opinion.

Hmm. So instead of the pads, use the pennies? Right now I think there is like 3 pads (maybe 4 can't remember) pads on bottom

Ok so will that fix error 0103 because that is what I have right now I have the hybrid fix completed I think it is just a loose soldier joint under the ram because it gets 2 rings within seconds of turning it on. I also scratched my motherboard when taking out the x-clamps do you think this could affect I am guessing not because it did work for around 10 minutes and the scratch is on the surface no deeper. Here is a link to the hybrid fix.

Any suggestions regarding help? Also on an unrelated note if you have a PS3 remember to get the free game that usually costs 10$ the deal ends today on PS3 store USA(Canadians just need to make a US account).

Do you guys use the hot glue gun or just put the pads under the pennies? What else can you use to glue?

Error code 0013 means ram over heating or cold solder joint under ram chip. In my case it is definitely the cold solder joint. I don't own a heat gun and I have try ed the penny trick. I have yet to screw the board in yet though to put pressure on the ram is this important. Also to the person asking about tape. you can use a hot glue gun, double sided tape with one less coin, or any type of stick stuff that won't melt on totally. Also I would uses two pennies wrapped in electrical tape. I think I will just buy an new xbox 360 elite for 250$ I need to do my job or else I will get fired (game tester). I would still like to fix this one though since I did the time consuming Hybrid fix.

If you keep getting 0013 really fast then it's more than likely a cold solder joint under the RAM so either try reflowing or penny/eraser to put pressure on them, once they are in contact with the board they will stop giving 0013.
I suppose the fans get carried away from startup too?

hi,i also have error 0013.i tried penny trick and did find that 3 pennies seemed to distort the board somewhat..my error appears approx 2mins after powering on 360.get the usual green light start, everything ok,then after 2 mins the fans rev up loads,2 rlod and then power seems to be cut off, altho system is still on..is a little thermal paste on ram chips recommended?ill try 2 pennies and screw board down.

Anyone getting these errors needs to reflow. I got my reflowed and it works perfect now.
