Help WinTV 1800 VHS to Hard Drive

I have copied a video to the hard drive using Win-TV HVR 1800 with Windows Vista. While copying, the images on the screen of WinTV are perfect, but the copied film has a green shading on the left hand side. Are there any adjustments I can make within the software to remove this shading?
