if history is any indication, us hitachi guys shouldnt hold our breath. 1.5 was released around x-mas for every drive but hitachi. it took until march and the 3rd wave games for us hitachi guys to get off of 1.4- i for one am not too worried though. i have a kreon drive so the 0800 stuff isnt too exciting, and from my understanding, the security features on 1.6 are looking more towards the future. just hang in there guys lol.
how often do these updates come out? would it be safe to just get 1.51, or would it be a waste of money? oh, and is there even any guarantee that 1.6 is coming out?
Personally, I would just get rid of you Hitachi (eBay or the trash can), and get yourself a BenQ. They are pretty cheap now days. They support Bad Flash recovery, so you can't ever brick the drive. Plus, ix1.6 is already out for BenQ!
