Im looking to buy a PSP for my trip to Bonnaroo this year, and my friend is offering me one, but i dont know whether to buy it or not, and i need your opinion. I dont want to buy it unless i can put custom firmware on there, and i dont know whether this PSP can do it. Its one of the Star Wars PSP's, the last 4 digits of the serial number are 2001, it has version 5.03 firmware installed on it, and thats about all i had the chance to check out on it. I used to have custom firmware on my PSP phat back in the day, but that was about 2 years ago when you still needed Liberty City Stories to downgrade and whatnot, and since my old one broke about a year ago, i have no idea how one would go about downgrading this one. Should i buy it or keep searching for an old PSP phat?

i have one lol its pritty easy to mod if you have a pandoras batt
it may not have the same mem as a slim but in my opinion the phat is just as good
IF you mean the white 2000 version with the darth vader face on the back, then it is hackable. I hacked my friends myself, and a few weeks ago i saw another one at another friends house.
But if it's any other color or maybe just a stolen faceplate and not really star wars edition, then I'm not sure.
