OK i have searched plenty of other forums but none have explained if the dumping works or not. I have just flashed my xbox with ixtreme 1.6 and i can get windows to detect my drive and the disc when i insert it. But when i put a game in it loads and does auto play fine but when i try to open in imgburn or xbox backup creator it doesnt work. It doesnt read it. So if someone can help me out that would be great, thanks!

I've said this a couple of times already on this forum but here it is again. Xbox Backup Creator is currently being updated to work with drives flashed with ix1.6
You just have to wait for it to be released.

Like PS2Menace said, the programs will need to updated and at that point you can make backups of your games with ix1.6. The reason iPrep is saying that is because you have an old version of the definitions. You need to get the new .xml in your iPrep folder.

I don't think the MD5 checksum for the 0800 BenQ firmware is in the .xml. That is probably why it won't load. You are going to need to user a different program besides iPrep.
If I have to boot to a jump drive, I use DosFlash v1.7. Included are 2 folders, DosFlash32 for Windows GUI and DosFlash16 for booting to DOS.
Make sure you have all your firmware backed up and erase everything off of the jump drive. Then take the 2 files from the DosFlash16 folder and put them on the jump drive, along with the BenQ0800.bin file.
Boot to the jump drive a type dosflash.exe at the prompt. It will show you a list of S-ATA ports and you should see your BenQ. Select the corresponding number. Then click W for write, and type the .bin file name. It will write and you should be done.
Or you can use Jungle Flasher through Windows.

DosFlash32 is Windows GUI, and DosFlash16 is for a bootable jump drive. Either method will flash the 0800 firmware to the BenQ.

No, once it's flashed with an 0800 FW, it's only use it to rip games.
The first thing that popped into my head reading this question was "Do you have to flash your FW everytime you want to play a game?"
But with the 1.6 FW, it eliminates the constant flashing from a ripping FW to a playing game FW. It's incorporated into the FW and toggled by powering the drive on while the tray is open.

Aright got it flashed and everything with 0800, but the thing is i can only rip backups not originals. Could this be because i have spoofed my dvd drivem, becuase i used to have a hitachi now i spoofed to benq. but the thing is the first thing i did in dos, was to erase and it erased then i flashed, it erased a second time, then it flahed it. so would that still mean that it is still spoofed even tho i erased? Oh also before i started i made a backup firmware with dos and saved to desktop.

bump... well i flashed back to 1.6 last night to play some games. But now i tried to go back to 0800 this moring to try and backup a game, and i cant get it to detect in windows. I was having to restart the computer with the tray half open, but now that doesnt work anymore! One time this morning i dont know what i did, but i was already logged onto windows and opened the xbox tray. Pulled the power cable out of the back and then pushed tray half open and plugged cable back in drive and it detected it in windows! Now nothing works whatsoever to detect it in windows...And when it was detected i still could not backup originals only burnt games.

Why did you flash it with an 0800 fw when you had 1.6 on it? All you have to do is wait on redline99 to release the new xbox backup creator.
You said you have a BENQ spoofed as a hitachi. Well use DOSFLASH to write you firmware on it. Boot to dos then run dosflash.
