So if you are trying to stream Hulu to your PS3, currently you have two options... PlayOn Media Server and TVersity Pro. As it turns out, the PlayOn (PO from here on out) software does exactly what is says it does, kinda. I downloaded PO because I wanted to watch Hulu on my RCA Scenium, and the computer was on the opposite side of the room. Too far for my VGA to VGA (my TV has a VGA input) cable to reach, but I could use the PS3 as an intermediary via CAT5 ethernet from PC. On the upside, the PS3 immediately recognized the server, which is more than I can say for TVersity which still doesn't work for me, and I had access to all videos. Here's the thing though, the audio was horrible for me. It sounds like a super compressed audio stream with random popping for no apparent reason. Then, to make matters worse, 2 out of 5 times, I got an error finding videos message. Now, I am all for supporting the people who make things possible, but I am not going to give $30 to someone for a program that works...sometimes. So I rearranged the room, and set up a dual monitor system, and viola, Hulu on the TV with excellent video AND audio. In my opinion, don't waste your time or money on PO because the technology just isn't there yet. Figure out a way to connect your PC directly to your TV and do it that way, besides, this opens up all kinds of possibilities, you'll be happy you did.
BTW my video card is a PNY GeForce 5200 - It supports dual monitors (PC and TV)and is available on Amazon for $42.99, not a great card for gaming, but wonderful for this application.
