snes9x 0.4.2 doesnt work

i have a fat 5.0 m33-6 psp and i downloaded snes9x 0.4.2 but it doesnt work. i tried to put it in GAME and GAME150 directories but it didnt work. should i try another version? should i change things in registery mode? (it was written in the reedme that fm 2.00+ owners have to go to another site to see how to make it work but i couldnt find it). your help will be appreciated. thank you very much

First off, this should probably be in the Homebrew section, seeing as how it's not an actual game and is in fact homebrew. Second off, You probably don't have the 1.5 kernel addon. It didn't work for me either until I installed this. You can find it at http://www.dark-alex.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=1612 Just follow the instructions in the readme for the 150k addon installer and then it should work fine. Make sure you have 1.50 Eboot in the root of your memory stick when you run it.
