Nascar kart racing on wii not working help please

Hi all i have just got hold of the nascar kart racing and burnt it onto a disc the game comes up as normal and when i click on it no problems heads straight to the main start screen and then click onto that then the wii remote goes off and all i get is a black screen?
I have tried 2 different type of discs but no joy im using nero to burn at 4X cant go any lower and my wii is version 3.2E (softmod im guessing as mate done it and no chip was involved he tells me)
Cant give any more info regards to the wii as the only thing i have on it is the homebrew channel nothing else and i dont know how this moding lark is done to much to take in for an old boy. LOL
any ideas? thanks damo

First off, don't use nero, use imgburn at 4x. Are you using verb media? Also make sure you are updated to the newest cios rev 10 or at least 8 if you use a mic. Game works perfect for me on softmod, evne though it's a mario kart rip off.

Hi many thanks for the reply but im new to all this lark and sometimes my 8 year old lad can show me more on the computer than i know LOL.
I do have a few questions if you wouldnt mind helping out.
How to i find out what cios rev i have?
Also how to update it?
What is verb media?

Please bear with me as no doubt these are probably silly questions but for people like me who stuggle with a mobile phone this is like talking a foreign language. LOL
