Is it possible to use only freeware to encode, rip and burn dvds?

I want to convert my files to dvd, also I want to convert my movie files to my htc touch pro as well.

I know convertxtodvd and nero are the most popular but does anyone here use only freeware?

Also whats a good free converter for video formats?

Among other free ones, you can use DVD Flick to convert to DVD.As for htc touch pro, I don't know what format the video needs to be, but most likely Handbrake can convert to whatever you need.
