I don;t really know which one to get. it's between 3.6 and 3.8 There are many versions of each and I don't know which one to get. I heard action replay was in 3.8 which i thought was awesome and i'm like i'll get that one but then I read that 3.8 doesn't play all ps2 games. Then i read that 3,6 was the best. I am so confused. also, i have a ps2 slim, i heard u need a fliptop but then i read on these forums in a tut that all you need is a screwdriver, a blue tack, etc. and no fliptop. so im don't know what to do. I want to play these games primarily

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
Jak and Daxter, Jak 2, Jak 3
Sly Cooper and it's sequels
Shadow of the Colossus
God of War 1 and 2

someone please help me!! thanks

3.6 is basically the same as 3.8, except that 3.8 has Coder.

I used SM 3.8 coder for a few years and had no problem with any games.
But its up too you.
I had heard that same thing, that 3.6 is better.

Yes you can just block the sensors on a slim using a variety of methods.
Straw Method - link

Tape & Tissue method - link

Or you can just use the sticky tack.

If you have a model 79001 - on some of these models you only need to block the "brake" and near the "reset button"

You will know if it works by sticking a disc in, start up the ps2, then open the lid. If the disc is still spinning, it should work.

On 90001 models, you only need to block "Sensor A" near the reset button.

Well depending upon where you live, modchip.ca or gocybershop.ca is good.
I think they both also ship to the states.
