something for the experts i supose , as i tryed local help with no joy ,
i have 2 starview boxes in the house , 1 downstairs and 1 in the room upstairs ...
i have a slpitter just before the first box and a lenght of cable running up the stairs to the room for the 2nd box
the boxe dowstairs works fine but the one in the room gets that anoying busy noise that comes in and out , coming stronger during advertisments for some reason ...
did hear on the forum that the lenght of cable running up the stairs could be the reason for buzz ...
Hi first try this;disconnect the cable going in to the Starview box switch the TV on and select the menu and see if you still get the "buzz"? if you do maybe the contrast is set to high or maybe the incorrect settings on the TV or to confirm change the boxes over and you can eliminate the box?

you're right , when i disconect the cable , the buzz is still there, exactly the same , so doesn't come from the cable .
my god you're right man ,
i had maximum volume on the tv and was playing with the volume on the box remote then , i just braught back down the volume on the tv remote (that was flat out) and the buzz is gone !!!!
my god how couldn't have thaught of that myself !!!
now if someone has the same problem , what you do is put the volume full on the box and play with the tv remote for the volume , and the buzz will be completly gone ...
