I have been trying to make back up copies of my dvd movie collection, and I have been using the guides here to shrink the dvd movie to fit a dvd+r and to use ImgBurn to burn onto the dvd+r as well. Shrinking the dvd seems to work fine, as VLC player has no problem with the resulting files.

The problem I have is that when I burn the disc, the result is a movie which doesn't play or that no files have been burnt at all! In both cases I am unable to use the dvd+r again, so I need to find out what's causing this as I have wasted 5 dvd+r's already!

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Post the ImgBurn log.

First get rid of DVD43.
Next, where did you get that firmware from?

Just out of curiosity, is there a chance you need to be setting the program you're using to Shrink to "NTSC"
