Ok let me get this straight, I have read the facts but something isn't working out right.

I have a ton of video files in .avi format that I want to burn to DvD. They burn great for storing them and getting them off my hard drive but they dont play in DVD players.

So I use tmpg to convert to mpeg2, then I recombine the audio and video into VOB format, also using tmpg, then I author the files and then burn them. Is this correct or am I missing something?
