Hey guys, this is my first post :)

I bought a PSP slim for £10 because it had a problem with it and ive checked on google etc and it seems that nearly everyone has this problem and i cant see any solution to it...

The problem is this: i switch on my psp and it loads up, i can hear the sounds and everything, but the screen is blank. i can see nothing except for the backlight which is on, i can also adjust the brightness i can see it going brighter and dimmer, i shined a bright light on it and i see nothing its just black... i can play music but i just cant see anything on the screen i tried pandora battery method it did update and it re-flashed (with the screen still black) but still no luck i tried opening it taking the screen out and put it back in i also took the whole psp apart and put it back together but still no luck so what should i do guys is there a solution? someone help me out... if you find a solution to this then you've saved so many poeples psp's that have this problem... (i got the psp unopened the guy who sold me it never opened it before)

any help at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

It's not a problem with the light or the PSP as such but it sounds like the screen has gone; probably the power lead which connects to the screen. As the actual screen is just basically a piece of plastic/LCD it is likely to be something connecting it to the PSP (not the front screen). It sounds like it took a drop or was stood on (I've seen it on laptops with cracked screens). My advice check connections on screen.
