A XBC Release intended to handle the new iXtreme 1.6 0800 mode firmwares
Removed - Support for previous Xtreme ripping firmwares
Removed - Stealth Check Buttons - Use agbx360
Changed - Stealth Check Report - PFI Wave X Date match removed
Changed - Named check mark on options tab as "ISO Check"
to reflect it is not a "Stealth Check" anymore
Added - Ability to lock game partition before ripping
Added - Ability to detect iXtreme firmware spoofing
Added - Support for iXtreme 1.6 Samsung
Added - Support for iXtreme 1.6 BenQ
Added - Support for iXtreme 1.6 Liteon
Added - Support for iXtreme 1.6 Hitachi
(Note: Hitachi is untested and awaiting a firmware release)
Due to an issue that affects the Liteon ix16 it is advised that you start
XBC without a DVD in the drive.
*** NOTE ***
This build of XBC does not support older Xtreme ripping firmwares
(Kreon drives are still supported though). Stealth Checking verbiage/intent removed, XBC only does limited checking. Use abgx360(info) at http://abgx360.net for more thorough Stealth Checking

They are probably adding it to xbins at the moment, because all that is there is the ReadMe.txt for 2.9

umm XBC isnt seeing my drive? I did the half-tray method and then hit Intro / Device ID in JungleFlasher and it says my drive is in Vendor Mode but XBC does not see my drive. I have a Benq 1.6 firmware

if you are using your via card you might have to install your drivers if it still doesnt work and your computer has an onboard sata use that instead

Is it flashed with iXtreme 1.6 or the new iXtreme 1.6 (0800 not for console use)?
I'm assuming with the new iXtreme 1.6/0800 the half-tray method isn't necessary.
Not certain if that will resolve your issue but you should also select the "unlock drive" button under the drive tools tab to see if that makes a difference.
I'm using a Kreon drive of course and it still functions normally with the latest XBC.

If you're not using the drive in your console to play games, you should give the new iXtreme 1.6/0800 a shot. I think it pretty much converts it into a PC drive (similar to a kreon drive).
If you are using the drive as a console drive with the original 1.6, make sure you're powering on the PC with the drive already in half-way status.

im using it in my console, im in the process of buying a Toshiba drive to rip games with.
I have tried using jungleflasher to put the drive into vendor mode and then restarting the computer with my drive like that and I have done the half-way open drive tray trick while windows was loading and XBC didnt see the drive but Jungleflasher does and says its in vendor mode.

Not sure if it will help but if JF is detecting the drive, you should select the "unlock drive" button under the "drive tools" tab in XBC v2.9 to see if that makes a difference.
Also, try rebooting your PC while the drive remains powered on and half ejected.

i tried what you said, didnt work and the drive unlock is grayed out. im gonna download that 5.30c driver for my card and see if it helps (i heard it does)

try putting the new FW that was released earlier today on it as it was designed for dumping only, that might solve your issues.

The 5.30C driver for my SATA card got my drive recognized on my PC and in XBC. Both of my games are now sitting in my hard drive. Thanks for all your suggestions on how to fix it :).
one last question though, When I run my games through AGBX360 should i run them on level 2 or level 3? AGBX360 says to do level 2 for my own backups and level 3 for downloaded games.

ya i cant get xbc to detect my drive, but i think im just going to use s360 and use the old 0800 firmware. it only takes a few extra seconds to flash...BTW if anyone is having a problem with windows detecting drive, do the half tray method. Then go to device manager, find it, double click it and hit enable. This worked for me...Good luck!

you dont, it runs on your computer. You hook either a Kreon DVD drive or a Xbox 360 DVD drive with either 0800 or 1.6 firmware to your computer and Xbox Backup Creator will see the drive, read the game, and make a copy of it.
