sv4 bad manufacture??

hi guys is it the crummy manufacturing of the sv4 that has made them loose all channels. mine on chor*s- as alot of others- has been given trouble lately.. dont mean to be smart but dont want no comments from people who say oh box cant be fixed and next thing ya know its back on!! anyone with the proper info please share, obviously there time is nearing but the fact my sv2 gives no trouble im wondering is the sv4 just a crap box!! does anyone know why they'd stop working although using same cable of sv2 which works?? has anyone in ireland still got a sv4 working good??

hi mate sorry to say but if your ntl ireland, there is no fix. and we all have to live with it.the kryptview works for all channels.its part of the deal but we dont pay,put the other side is they want us to pay,and if its so easy to break all the codes we would all do it.but sorry to say it takes a lot of know how and time.you have have to appreciate these guys(they have specialised knoledge)but things change and they have to figure out the changes(they need time)if it is so easy(feel free to upload a fix guys)and thanks.

its a firmware problem and it was by pure fluke the cable company done something to knock the SV4 off and they prob dont know what it was either and even if they did fix that prob it is just a matter of time now till all the channels except the fta channels are left on them boxes so starview eurovox replay and some of the other linux boxes are just Fta boxes now

if ur other boxes are ok working normally then u know the sv4 has a weak spot which has been got at.they work all right in uk with v1.07

Thought that too in Dublin for a day or two, but they came back, think some of cork are on NTL
