ok i have been away from my wii for a while and now wanna play punch out...i used the brickblocker and put the game in teh wii and when i click start the screen turns black.. i know im missing some new cios/ios's which ones? and where do i find them? also im at 3.2 NTSC wiikey.. the game didnt ask for an update or nothen just when i try and play the black screen pop's up.. do i have to update to 4.0? would that effect my homebrew? what can i do thats easy,safe,and best way of solving this problem..any help would be appreciated thanx

you need to update to Cios36 V9. That'll solve your problem. You can go here to get the file rev 9 installer.

can i use wiiscubber and extract the Cios i need from the ISO? i never used wiiscrubber how does that work?? also using that rev 9 would that in any way give me problems with my wii?? i was reading a guy complain after he installed it.. his wii started to freeze alot?also is there a wad of rev 9??

its because you got the 3.4u update im sure which was the update that temporarily stopped wads from being installed.Follow this how to guide to the T and you'll be back in business:

Dont worry about wiiscrubber. you just need that to get IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad. But since theres like 10000 copies out there just search for it and you can easily dl it without any issues.

cool beans glad you got it working now. Before you ever do updates and what not come on here and check to see what will possibly happen. You never want to do an update when theres no fixes out for it yet. You'll be stuck with a wii that doesnt work ;)

sure thing thanx for the info...do i still need to fix that oct23rd update from nintendo to get my wadmanagerv1.3 workin good? im using wadmanagerios16 cause the others dont work whats the difference?

In my opinion I'd woprk twards to fully updating to 4.0u but making sure you have all the patches and what not in place first. This will finally get you the new updates for the system. This will also help you in planning alot of the newer games with less failure.
