Hi all,

Has anyone had any luck backing up Star Wars: Phantom Menace on a Mac (running Panther)? I can get it decoded just fine using DVD Backup or Mac the Ripper. I then compress it using DVD2OneX and burn it with Toast. The problem is that I get video glitches after compression, such that at the beginning of one of the first scenes, the spaceship that's flying toward you 'jumps' about 1/3 of the way down the screen. This happens when I view it from the HD or from the burned disc, and does not happen for the uncompressed stream. I've tried compressing at both constant and variable rates, but there is no difference.

From what I've been able to glean from posts on the PC side, this has to do with there being multiple angles (there are 3 on the disc). See, for example:

When I compress, I select only the main feature, and angle 1 (plus English audio). The PC-people saying that you have to strip out everything but angle 1 when you are ripping. Apparently this can be done with DVD Decrypter. The problem is that I don't know how to do that on a Mac... As I said above, I've tried getting only angle 1 when I compress, but can't figure out how to do it when I'm ripping.

Can anyone help?
