Hi all,
I used DVD Shrink to backup a Finding Nemo and used Nero to burn the disc, but it is not being recognized. Encoding took about 90 min and the burn took 15 min( using an NEC 1100A on a Celron 700mhz system). After the burn I tried looking at the contents of the disc and it showed as having 648mb free space, none used. WinDVD4 would not play it and none of te DVD players in the house would play it. I just don't understand what's happening, could they have a different copyright on this DVD? Has anyone made a copy of this movie yet? It also happened when I backed up Xmen 2. Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, the media I am using is TDK 4x DVD+R, 25pk.

Thanks,
BP

Hi
I had lots of burning problems with my 1100A.So I dropped the burning speed to 2.4x,cured all problems.
Hope this helps.

Mark, thanks for the advice. I tried burning at 2.4 and it worked like a charm. I guess my system is just too slow to keep up with 4x burns, my brother in law bought the same drive and has not created a coaster yet on his system. But his system's faster than mine, P4 1.6Ghz with 512MB ram. Looks like I need to do some upgrading, soon.
Thanks again,
BP

Burning at slower speeds tend to make the backups more compatible w/ more DVD players, especially if they are older. Your system probably doesn't need an upgrade, but then again, it would hurt either. Even if you upgrade, you may still have a problem when you burn at 4X.
