I tried to convert a file using 4Um2ts software and it gave an error that said
problem with Video Audio codecHelper. Then I tried SUPER and it gave an error.
I also had installed sony vegas before...Maybe that has something do with it. I uninstalled vegas and I uninstalled 4Um2ts converter and Super and I tried to reinstall them but the error has remained.
Could it be a virus? Could it be a problem with the registry? If so could you guys recommend som registry fixing freeware?
Could it be something called
avformat-52.dll?
thanks guys and I will appreciate the help.

thanks to all

uhoh it's worse than I thought. I tried to rip a dvd and change the output format and then it said that there was another error.
The program I was using was DVDx. The error said "DVDx stopped working correctly"

thanks to all

Haven't a clue but you can try CCleaner-uncheck cookies if you want to keep your log in's, SuperAntiSpyware (SAS)-update and run a full scan, not quick and it will want to run at start up, doesn't need to and you can stop it at msconfig (or in TUU 2007). Another is MalwareByte's Anti Malware (MBAM), one or both. Run an online scan with Dr Web's CureIt. Anything on your system should show up. You can have a look at this; excellent utility that I upgraded to in 2007 and is free now, after you choose to open 3 Window's, you're given the choice to never have it ask again, can schedule repair's and lot's more including it's own start up manager: http://www.v3.co.uk/vnunet/downloads/223...-utilities-2007 Edit: keep your drive defragged too.
