Hello, i recently picked up a wii with 3.1U FW on it, and was wondering if the downgrader that's part of the softmii pack can be used to upgrade it to 3.2. FW. Everyone's tutorials talk about downgrading but what about upgrading? I want to make sure the the ios downgraders and such don't screw up anything.

I just softmodded my gf's wii for her with softmii but it was downgrading a 3.3 to 3.2. All went well but this is a little diff.

Theres really no need to downgrade at the moment as long as your wiis serial number doesnt start with LU64+ just use THIS..

Thanks, i looked over that thread before but it seems it's for a 4.0 wii using the bannerbomb method, and i'd rather stay at 3.2 because of people saying that homebrew isn't 100% compatible with 4.0.

Im almost sure you have to upgrade to play new wave games. As for the ppl saying there are problems with hb and 4.0 I havnt seen anything wrong and everything Ive wanted to install/change went 100% no problems so I would say no there are no problems.
