I was in a rush flashing this benq drive, and i plugged the power cord in upside down.
Smart, I know.
But the circuit board is obviously gone now, when i plug it into the 360 or any power source, it's dead, no laser light, and the 360 middle light just keeps flashing.
Anyways, i was never able to get the key.
So what I'm asking for is professional help.
I was informed that it is possible the key is stored on the TSOP on the circuit board. Would the TSOP be blown too? or would it be possible to unsolder it and put it in a new circuit board that i can purchase for ten dollars.
If it is possible, would anyone mind helping me out??

I've desoldered/read a ton of boards. The Benq doesn't use a tsop, it's a spi flash. You'll need a programmer, adapter, and a way to remove the epoxy and to desolder the chip. I use a rework station for the latter two. For reading I use a Willem.
Which ever programmer and adapter you get, make sure it supports that spi.
On the Benq it's the MX25L2005 you need to desolder. That's a spi serial flash eeprom.
