Problem with open firewall ports in EMule.

Okay, so here's the deal: I, like everyone else, am getting the Low ID in emule. I tried all the traditional remedies (yes, my windows XP firewall is off), but had no success. I ran the EDonkey port checker utility, and it said i might have a 'stealth' firewall. I attend a university, so i really don't know what is involved with the network here. I ran a port-checker utility and found that all of my ports were closed and stealthed. This explains my Low ID, but i can't find a way to fix it. I read some things about modifying IP script rules and the like, but i don't know much about that. Is there any way to open a port on the university firewall, or get around it somehow to get the High ID rating? Thanks in anvance.
