Hi All,
I've given up on my Eurovox pvr since the N3 switch and want to plug my ntl box back in but its coming up on every channel as 'not subscribed to this channel'.

I've tried power restarts, resetting the smart card and leaving the box on over night.
Is there anything else I can do to get the box working again?

PS I live in Dublin and I did not get a replacement ntl card after the recent mass notices to this effect.

As said your not subscribed by the looks of things especially if you didn't get the card. If you are subscribed then phone them up and ask for one.

I have the basic digital package and am subscribed to them.

I tried restarting the box without the card inserted and I was brought to a box setup screen which asked for language and location code which through trial and error I found was Dublin code 132. I was then able to do a scan for channels of which only some are working.

I can get ret1 but not rte2 etc. I can get tv3 but only if I manually enter the channel number 106. When I remove the card and re-insert it, I get the "not subscribed" error message again.

I don't want to ring NTL as they take ages to send someone out to look at the box.

Is there some aspect to the above setup screen which I'm missing which will return the channels E.g location code.

Ring them and say you didn't get a card and they will send you one or else explain why you didn't get one.

It's highly unlikely they will need to send anyone out.

If they say why hasn't your box been on for months etc just say you were working away and haven't been watching tv.

they will send a courier out with a new card if you tell them you never received one but you should have had a letter from them telling you there where sending out new cards did you get one of these from them

they dont have a clue or not weather or not your box is or is not connected to their network as there is no talk back on their boxes so you dont have to worry about that

It wasn't anything to do with talkback, just they might wonder why he hasn't called to complain before when he has no channels?

Use the working away from home excuse. it happened to me months ago when i was just checking if it still worked. They'll reset something on their side and all your channels will be back.
