Hello this is my second drive I am tryin to mod its a Lite on Drive from an elite I was able to get the key inquiry dummy all from it but since then it now does not respond and slows my Cpu down drastically so I read try to erase in dos so I tried that and still could not find the drive is it bricked? (please say no) I plugged it back up to the xbox to see if it was my Cpu and now I have a red light on my xbox 4th one to be exact and its just one read light so I wondered if I erased the drive so i went into l-o-erase just to see what it would say and it says status FFFF and I know that is not right so once again I am stumped Please help me out oh Setup is Via 6421 pci card Ck3 and JF Iprep dosflash 1.7 got key in JF tried all programs with no luck after I got the key inquiry and dummy bin now my xbox does not even play at all Sniff sniff lol

Turn on the lite-on drive and boot to dos with a bootdisk. Use l-o-eras port# and keep doing it until you get status FF72
You MAY have to power cycle the drive during this but don't reboot the PC

Remember it's L-O-Eras D800 (example for my port number)

After you get a FF72, power cycle the drive and use dosflash 1.7 to write your lite_cfw.bin file you made with Jungleflasher.

Ok thanks got the lite on drive flashed now played Star ocean for five hours last night no problems went to sleep now I am getting a dirty disk error and all I could say was Darn so close LOL but thanks again for the help

You can eliminate the dirty disk error by using only Verbatim DVD+R DL discs and burning at either 2.4x or 4x.
