I hope that you guys can help me. I bought a PSP from a friend who was leaving to Afghanistan, partly to help him financially and partly as a gift for my son.

I tried upgrading it to 5.50 and I got the following on the screen:

The system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. The update cannot be completed. Contact technical support for assistance.

I cannot run it. What do I do?

I can't run any games because it keeps saying that I have to update it. Please help.

Is there a way to restore the firmware (I tried restoring to system defaults)?

Okay, got no info so I went and did some checking myself. I hacked it, upgraded it to 3.52 and then to 5.0.

If anyone wants to know how I did it, let me know.
