Has anybody been able to get Rock Band back ups working with this release? If so how? I thought Rev 11 was going to work with RB instruments? Somehow we skipped 11 & 12 and I still can not get it to work? USB loader works great! I am not expecting to to use both at the same time. I just want to get all RB instruments working.

UPDATE: HELP my RB instruments will not work at all with real disks, not back ups either. I was so interested in getting the backups working I did not check to see if the original disks work rev 13b. They do not! I though when you loaded a factory wii disk it automatically loads the proper factory wii ios? I guess I will need to down grade?? back to ios36 rev10?

Rock Band instruments (stratocoaster and such) will work with a factory Rock Band disc.

You are using the guitar that came with the game? cIOS shouldn't have any effect on a game you play through the disc channel.

If you aren't using the guitar that came with the game you might want to look here:

And third party stuff is different.
I know that the Nyko Frontman (which really isn't the best guitar) works with Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero Metallica, and Rock Band 2 but not Rock Band 1.

If you want to downgrade your cIOS just use the installer. It will install over the old one.
They all install to IOS249.

I have a couple of backed up rock band/guitar hero games that fail to recognize any instruments.

I can however play with the original disc but I'd like to play the backed up versions (I'd like the kids NOT to have to ever touch the disc again).

Anyone have any luck?

Well, in my situation the instruments only work if I pop in the Original disc. All my backups, while they boot up and run, it wont get past the point where it says to connect the instruments. (ie: it doesn't see the guitars or drums)

I figured out my problem in using the retail disks. I was using the Back up loader instead of the wii disk loader. Oops...a simple case of W.W.I. (Wii While Intoxicated).
Still have not figured out how to get the instruments to work with rb back ups.
I have downgraded to rev 12. I have tried using back up loader and usb loadergx. I am going to try configureable usb loader next. (I have them on dvd and HD.)
Has anybody come out with a RB channel for rev 12?
I have read about people blending different cios but i think that is over my wii skill set.
A point in the right direction would be appreciated.

I have my instruments working with my hardmodded/softmodded wii. Usb loader wont work but if I use the wiikey like a normal backup all plays fine.
