Hey guys,

I have a lite-on drive in my 360 and I am trying to flash it. I have an NForce SATA chipset, and according to the Jungle Flasher pdf guide that means I should be able to flash my drive (it lists NForce or Via as the two types of chipset I nedd to have). However when I plug the drive into my sata port and power on the xbox and then the PC the drive is not recognised at all even in the BIOS. I've also tried all this with the drive half closed by pulling out the drive's power chord just as it is shutting. Still no cigar. Neither windows, the BIOS or Jungle Flasher see the drive on SATA 1 where it sdhould be. So is the guide wrong... are NForce chipsets actually not a viable alternative to Via? Which means forking out for a Via card :(

Nforce doesn't always work. Save yourself the headache and get the damn 6421 card that will work for sure. Cost is $15.00 and way worth it and guaranteed to work on all drives. Only certain Nforce chipsets work, not all.
