Problem having my 360 online and my pc at the same time using a wired router?

When ever i wanted to play my 360 online i had to take the modem from my pc and put it on my 360 so i went and got a wired router so i can have my pc and 360 online at the same time but for some reason i can only get one thing online if i get my 360 my pc wont and if i get my pc the 360 wont go online?

start by making sure your routers FW is up to date. this will solve most of your problems you have/will have with connecting to live.

How are you connecting the wired modem to the internet? You may only be able to have 1 router at a time on the internet (not acting as a bridge0.

what make of router do you have. I had the same problem with my router if it's the same make as mine I may be able to help.
