Hi all, i'm not to sure where to post this so i have put it here, sorry if its the wrong area.

Basically for about 8months now i have been with Tiscali and been using the free router they sent me (Siemens SE587). Basically my problem is that now and then i seem to disconnect whilst playing online with my 360, i have put up with it for the 8 months. I have contacted Tiscali about this issue more then once, and if your also a Tiscali user you will know how little they actually know about anything. All they ever kept telling me was to contact Xbox themselves. So i did so and again all they told me was little help as nothing constructive came from it.
So i was wondering if anyone has had the same problem or knows an answer to this. I have looked all over the net but i can't find nothing about my problem. I have tried opening all the ports that need to be opened for the 360 but i still disconnect frequently. I only disconnect from the games but not live itself.

well is your internet speed fast enough to support live? do you have another router you could try? is the firmware up to date on your router?

I have 8mb Broadband, I don't have another router no, and atm my Firmware is at v3.01.19A which i believe to be the most recent update

i would try a different router if you could, borrow one, buy one and test it, if it doesnt work take it back. i had the same problem with my old linksys router and switched to netgear and it worked fine.
