So, I decided that I wanted to chip my fat PS2 v7 , and I had a few questions before I actually go through with it. This would be my first time install a mod chip in any system, but i have had experience with using a soldering iron and what not.
These are my questions:
1. How hard is it to install a ps2 mod chip?
2. What would be the easiest/cheapest chip to install? (
Thats basically it i think, but if anyone has any tips for me, that would be great, also I would rather not use the swap disk/flip top method.

Sweet, thanx for the quick reply. Have you seen any options to play games from a harddrive by chance? It didn't mention it in any of the information I can find.
