Ok i got a movie from piratebay.org dled it in VUSE. I can watch the movie fine in vuse and VLC. But now i want to burn it to a dvd+r disk to watch on my xbox 360. So i got ImgBurn. I followed the instructions on creating a single layer .ISO file, and then i burned it. I even changed my book type to match my burner and to write a dvd-rom. Well after trying this twice it still doesn't work. So i dled EncodeHD to re-code my original video from VUSE to work on the xbox 360 it created a MP4 file that work with VLC fine. Here is my question, what do i need to do next? When i open up ImgBurn do i still need to take my re-coded mp4 video and turn it into a ISO? Im really new to all this so im not sure what to do next. Or can i just burn my MP4 file straight to a dvd+r disk and it will work? I appreciate any help, thanks

Try updating your firmware to SL08.

Burn at 8x and post the full log. Not just a part of the log.

Well now i have a disk with two folders burned on it and no files. lol

Well here is the burned copy of the MP4 file. This is what encoderhd made. It seems to be working more smoothly. And the disk will play on my computer. But still will not play on my XBOX 360 or dvd player.

Ok so here is the .avi file burned straight, no converting, encoding, transcoding, encryping, decryping, lol i am pretty computer literate and i hate asking for help but i am admiting defeat. There are so many different options and combinations. When i do figure out a process i will write a newbie tutorial on my experience. I am still learning and i have been reading for 2 days straight. I figured i would just ask for some help and i appreciate it.

Well it seemed like it would work on the computer but not the 360 or dvd player.

Disks- memorex DVD+R, 16x 4.7gb 102min

Burner- lite-on dvdrw lh-16w1p ata device

software- imgburn, encodehd, vuse, and piratebay.org, avi2dvd(did work, just created a mp3 file and a read file)

So what do you guys think? Am i really screwing something a 12 year old could figure out up? Either or, im stuck.

Please Advise....

Have you considered converting it to mpeg-2 DVD compliant files?

No i haven't. I don't know to much more that what i have read about. How would i go about doing that? I still don't understand why what i did didn't work. I have to be missing something or misunderstanding something. Pretty much used the guides here and the help guide with imgburn. Not to sure where to go from here. How would i go about changing my .avi video into a mpeg 2 dvd? And would that be compatible with the xbox 360? Some had told me to burn it as just a divx file. But don't know how to convert it to a divx file, then i read that a divx file is the same as a avi file?

Convert your file with DVD Flick.
Read the guide on how to use it.
