So I was browsing around and I see this how to

I was excited, but I was wondering if anyone here has been successful with this, and are there any negative effects on your gamer score, or maybe you found a different model drive that works just as well?

I did it and it works fine. Follow the guides that are floating around. It only takes about three minutes to do. You can find 120 western digital drives on ebay for about $50.
It won't let you run original xbox games though. If you want to play xbox 1 games it can be done but from what I've read it can get a bit tricky to set up.
But it works great for 360 games. Cheap and easy to do.
The only drives that will work are western digital.

yeah, its not hard. ive had mine now for 8-9 months and im pretty sure MS is more concerned with software than hardware mods. only bad thing for me was frying my 20 gig trying to transfer saves over but the 120 is nice to install games on.
