I watched the video but im still confused how do i dump my key?

So which drive do you have? BenQ or Lite-ON? They are 2 separate drives.
Look on the front of the drive. There is a small hole in the right hand corner. Shine a flash light in there and you should see 2 wires.
Yellow = Lite-ON
White = BenQ

You will need some additional hardware. Example = CK3 Lite/PRO with probe or the Xtractor PRO with spear. This will allow you to probe the R707 hole on the Lite-ON PCB board to get the DVD Key.

is there any software I can use instead of buying hardware, because I hacked my 360 about a yr ago then it got the rrod and i sent it in and i got a new one and i totally forgot everything. So is there software I can use?

Unfortunately, with the Lite-on drive, you either have to solder, or use a probe (as mentioned) to retrieve the drive key.
There is currently no way around that.
Edit: Just thought I'd mention... you only have to do that the first time you flash. If you ever need to update the firmware, it is all software based. You just have to connect the dvd drive to the computer.

Well, as we said, if it's the first time flashing the drive, there's no way around it, you have to retrieve the key. To do that, you need to solder, or use a probe.

You need to use a probe to get the key, but yes once you have done that you can flash your drive as many times as you want without needing a probe

it is good that you don't want to rush things and it is good to ask for help too but don't expect for us to throw everything down on the floor so you could grab it... we help but ad the end you still got to do it on you own.

I have the usb extractor and i do what it tells me to do but it says eroor oppening comm port, when when i put detect comm port it says then i stick the needle in and press the button but nothin happens and then I'll hold it, it worked once but i accidently moved it. But when I click on key read it says something about that i need to restart the drive or something please help?
