Just wondering if there's any working methods to softmod the 90004 as of yet? I was thinking about going the Swap Disc + Free MC Boot way but I am unsure as to wether this works with the 90004. I'm not even sure you're able to place the sensor blockers from the swap disc kit in the newest model of the PS2?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Also, quick question, is Free MC Boot fully compatible with all games?
Check the date code underneath the SCPH ! If it's 8b , FMCB works , if it's 8c chances are 20 % , anything above 8c won't work .
For installing you need Swap Magic 3.8 Coder, that has ULE built-in and you can browse the usb stick to launch the FMCB.elf
If you have an older Swap Magic , burn a DVD with ULE and then the above steps .
If you geto the install menu do the 'multi version install '
Hmm well it's 8D so I guess I'm out of luck. Unless perhaps, if I install FMCB on my memory card using a pals older PS2? Would that memory card work with my PS2?
If all else fails, what would you say the chances of a new version of FMCB, compatible with my model, being released are?
Nothing to do with how and where you install it. The console can't run the code because it has a new bios that prevents this exploit . Sorry , there's nothing you can do but mod it with a chip , use an original like Matrix Infinity , stay away from clones like Modbo or Myth
=( Well thanks for the help anyway, don't think I'll be getting a modchip though, too hard to solder myself and to epensive to pay someone else to do it.
