I have my xbox chipped with Executor Pro and it is connected to my PC; the xbox and PC share the internet connection.

I am well aware that when I conenct to xbox live my chip needs to be switched off but my question is if my internet connection is on and my xbox is on connected to my pc in chipped mode will it still try to connect to xbox live or would I have to try and start an xbox live enable game for it to do so?

you gotta manually connect to live. my box is on my router, which is on cable, so it's got a live gateway all the time but never tries to connect.
