Can any one help? My starview 2 - The Box is not picking up any channels-have tried all versions of firmware but ony seems to scan upto 24 channels but all show as failed. When I exist out of channel scan screen it will allow be to go as far as the language screen but no further. Its a genuine box and N*l area. Please help, it doing my head in.

You must do a factory setting before you scanif you dont know the password use 1668
Dont mind that failed notice

Have tried factory reset but many times but still shows last software installed in the system information menu. Can anyone tell me exactly what version of firmware should I be uploading?

Thanks for that. Just tried it but still no channels. The result is the same as my original thread.

99% of the time if you only find 20-30 channels its either because 1.you need to do a factory reset in the main menu, then scan
or
2.the signal is weak in the house, remove all splitters and scan on the main feed into the house
PLEASE DONT PM ME FOR KEYS!

Sorry I am abit stupid but is there more than one way of doing a factory reset? I went through menu, 1570 then did factory reset. Also can you explain, should I factory reset then scan then put 4.57 firmware on? Its all abit confusing for me! Sorry!

1st install teh latest firmware(make sure you are using the latest GTROM 4.03(I think)
Then
1.press menu, select factory setting(password is 1668, press ok delete channels
2.Select English, select autoscanscan, select telewest/NTL or whoever your provider is, when scans finished goto a scrambled channel
3.press menu, press 1570
4.turn key emu on
5.press ok on set default key
6.goto a channel and wait for update(you may need to power off/on box(sky two updates quickest in ireland for some reason)
PLEASE DONT PM ME FOR KEYS!

Thanks for that. Followed instructions to a T but after 5 above the screen is stuck on the language menu and I cant get out of it. Did switch power off, but the same screen appears when I power it up again.(tried exist button 3 times but still no luck)

will be stuck on language till you scan and it saves successfully, so after scan make sure you actually get to a channel(scrambled or not)

Sorry to be a pain but the problem is that once I do a scan it wont go on to a srambled channel even if I press exit loads of times or use remote control to try and change the channel. Any thoughts?
