Can't get Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN-A for HEN to work

I boot into ChickHEN R2 and I can run homebrew and such. After that, I try to go into the Installer-Loader for Gen-A, and it says I've flashed the CFW. However, when I hit O to restart, the screen goes black and eventually, the PSP just shuts off. I restart in OFW without ChickHEN.
Any ideas? Running on a TA-088v3 PSP-2000.

Having the same problem so i just installed CFE 3.01 and everything is working great, dont need for 5.03 Gen-A

Run ChickHen, install CFWE 3.01 on psp/games, run the software, pres start and after finished it will reboot your psp with 5.03 M33 CF and so then you can run any iso, it wasnt that hard.

well, its not real m33, I just tried it on my friends slim, and it works fine, but I prefer GEN-A. I think the problem you were having earlier was it has to be the Unpatched version of ChickHEN R2, nothing else, you probably had the wrong chickhen.

I'm having the same problem. after I press CIRCLE nothing happends and psp just shuts down.

how? i just don't get it to work. my chickHEN is located in the photos place and when i click in it, it just doesnt run. my friends told me that if it works, i should see a flash thing, but i dont see anything. Why? please someone help me!! i am soo desperate, im new so i don;t now other software!!

If I've got a 5.03, can i downgrade to 3.01? and where to download custom firmware 3.01?

It get me more than 10times for chickHEN to completely loaded. After clicking the photo folder and click chickHEN's folder wait until everything finish loading. Your PSP might freeze and Shutdown by its own. Just keep re-trying and your PSP will show Green Screen and it will auto restart. After that, run your Custom Firmware Enabler on your game folder and done. All you need is just patience for it to work. Good luck with that.
