I love all my emulators for the wii. I have like over 2,000 roms and love playing them. But could there ever be a possibility of them being able to go online? I asked this because of GensPlus, for instance, is based of the Gens emulator and that emulator actually had the ability to play the roms online with others. Would it be too difficult to implant it? Besides the other emulators i would love to see GensPlus have some form of online gaming and hopefully with a chat lobby just like gens. What do you guys think?

I cant see this happening as the people who release the games (wii scrubbed etc) can't make multi boot wii games at the moment (only multi boot games are in gamecube format).

Also maybe there isnt so much demand for this feature? plus i would have thought that if it was possible then the people who would try to provide this service then they would have to edit the coding of some of the games to be able to implement this function or unless you were talking about games that are multi player capable for that console?

I think this is about ROMs of classic systems such as Genesis/Megadrive and Super Nintendo, not Wii games.

Someone asking on the SNES9X googlecode page was told to do it themselves so maybe it won't be happening as soon as one would hope.

It might happen eventually. It is open source after all.

Yeah, like maybe for games that are already multiplayer. Using the PC emulator gens, i used to play sonic the hedgehog 3 on their (i think its called...) Kalleriea client.
