This is a tough disc, nothing I used worked, RIPIT4ME, SHRINK, VOB BLANKER, and initially AnyDVD & CloneDVD2. This problem was posted to Slysofts forum and they got on it ASAP. Their new beta AnyDVD update 6.5.5.7 handles it with no problem. Those authoring guys over @ LIONSGATE are crafty. This title not only list a dummy main movie it's a problem if you attempt to delete it. The end result for me initially was the back up disc played all out of wack, the movie begins in the last scene with subtitles and continuously loops. Once I got wind of the update I was able to complete a successful back up. I used AnyDVD and the latest CloneDVD2 release to back up this disc, using these steps: I backed the movie up to my hard disk using AnyDVD. I then chose the 1st back up option "DVD TITLES" in CloneDVD2 and preserved the menus. This will normally give you the animated menu but no special features. I then re-selected just the behind the scenes and movie title relevant info. I left all movie preview info out. Backed up to a dual layer Verbatim disc. I have my AnyDVD set to start from main menu which my back up does just that. Oh, I had no trouble @ all with Friday the 13th (Killer Cut Edition) It backs ups at 97% resolution onto a 4.7GB SONY DVD5 using AnyDVD & NERO Recode3. I hope this helps.

With the release of AnyDVD 6.5.5.4, only registered (paid) users are able to use the beta versions.. If you're a trial user testing the program out, you can only use the latest final release.

The following is from the Slysoft AnyDVD forum:

Quote:
Trials of BETA versions
A significant change was announced in the "change history" for AnyDVD as of version 6554 and this may raise questions.

The change prevents a non-registered user from running a "BETA" version of the product.

It will NOT affect the trial period for pre-purchase testing of the official release product version in any way.

The text for the change as found in the change log is as follows:

Change: AnyDVD beta versions can no longer be evaluated

Since beta versions address a critical DVD/BD issue and are intended for a limited audience, it was thought best to avoid any problems if a trial user is evaluating the product prior to purchase, downloads a beta version and then runs into problems if the beta is not "ready for prime time".

All software providers issue betas prior to official distribution to verify that a specific problem is indeed resolved. Then this migrates to the "official" download list. Rather then risk losing a potential customer with a "not ready" beta this change was incorporated.

I was able to download the Beta version. However, it would not rip to my hard drive; stopped at 2%. I'm wondering if anyone else was successful with this DVD.

I've tried everything but prayer....keep getting CRC message and/or disc will not read. In decrypter, its states that the file is 92
gigs even though it's only a 7gig disc.

It just goes to show you...it's ALWAYS something!

SUCCESS !! Go to slysoft forums...download ANYDVD 6.5.5.8 from link. It removes chapter 21 out of the loop and it's business as usual in backing up your discs.

I had no problem doing this title. The latest version of AnyDVD 6.5 5.9 will handle it. Rip with the AnyDVD ripper, toss into shrink then burn.

Has anyone had any success with DVDFab? I have 6.0.1.0 and have only been able to get to 3% and it stops.

On another thread there is a post as to DVDFAB 5.2.2.6 able to copy Madea Goes to Jail (new Release Jun 16,2009). I could not find a copy of this version on the DVDFAB site, I downloaded it from ComVan.com, and it did work. This was done on a standalone system as I don't trust undocumented files. I'm in the process of checking that system for any unwanted additions.
