Hey guys, another noob question here.. please excuse me
I have heard from a different forum that with games that would get you banned if you play it online... if you dont take it online it will still get you banned when you go online the next time because the 360 uploads your achievements to MS and it contains information about the disc you were playing with or something...
Unverified but likely. No one can tell you exactly what gets people banned as it isn't instant. You can play an unverified rip today and not see a ban for another few months. They do it in waves, basically making a list of every console thats going to be banned and do them all at once.
I would suggest always making sure the ISO is good, run it through ABGX to make sure. But it makes sense seeing as your xbox remembers what games you have played and when you connect to live it uploads that info, so who's to know if it also saves the read angles and everything that MS uses to detect backups.
IMHO its never worth playing unverified games, i mean there are so many good sources out there thats its not hard to find a good rip or you can even rip it yourself!!
Perhaps i am the paranoid type but i quadruple check everything in abgx to be 1000% sure of a good rip, if it doesnt check out just bin it and move on to another rip, better safe than sorry
I only play games once they have been verified by abgx. If live is a priority for you, and you play lots of backups, I would recommend adopting the same mentality.
I think if you have two hard drives, just switch them. Surely the 360 stores the information about each disk on the hard drive because where else would it store them? Clearing the cache might also do the job but that deletes all game patches too.
Nah, live isn't all that important for me, I was jsut curious as to the possibility of going live on my machine. I won't be going on live with mine because I'm apparently using an old unstealth firmware so it's prob best I lay low until I flash to 1.51 or 1.6
I just wanted to know IF i do update the firmware, would I still be banned because Ive played bad ISOs before? and the answer seems to be that it's possible and no one really knows
