I have a PSP that just won't read any memory sticks suddenly. I had the PSP for about half a year now. The PSP is fat and cfw 3.90 M33-3.

It all start today when I pull a sleep on a game to charge my battery up. After the PSP was fully charged, I unsleeped it then the game lagged from the opening of the game to the loading screen. When I start the loading process, I got a black screen, it was like it froze or something (brinking?). After that event, whenever I try opening the PSP with any memory sticks, it will black screen and lock up. Forcing me to hold the power button 5 sec or so to full shut down the PSP in order to close it. I can only go to the PSP's menu if I take out the memory stick prior to opening my PSP. If I open the PSP with no memory stick and put the memory stick in after it is open, it won't read that there is any memory stick. Also 1 interesting thing about the PSP is that the light above the wan light (between the pad and analog)continously flash when my memory stick is in during the starting of my PSP. When I pluck in the stick after I open the PSP without a stick, that same light will flash rapidly then to a slower pace repeatly and still say there is no memory stick.

I try to isolate the problem with my second fat PSP (4.01 M33-2). I switched the memory sticks and as a result, the second PSP could read both of the memory sticks while my illed PSP black screen upon starting if either of the memory sticks are in. I know both memory sticks work so it isn't any fake or corruption in the sticks.

I beleive it has something to do with the PSP as any memory sticks black screen my illed PSP. Help? Comment? Advice?

If You Have A Card Reader You Take Off anything you want to keep then format the memory stick if not then you will most likely have to format the memory stick. That Has Happened To Me Several Time And Each Time I End Up Formatting My Mem stick. Hope I've Been Some Help...Xfilez
