Hey all, I have a modded Wii (Wiikey v1), and it works for most games I burn, but I recently tried a friends COPY of Naruto EX3, and after updating my Wii (through WiFi, not the JAP disc!) to 4.0E it's still trying to update the firmware! I assume I need to fix the ISO somehow before I burn my own copy, but I stopped following the Wii mod scene a while back, and I'm baffled over how to fix the disc and/or implement was seems to be and endless supply of softmods. I would be very greatful if someone could post me some links to what they think would be the best options to take.

Thnaks in advance, Lloyd.

Google search Wii Brickblocker. It removes the update partion of the ISO.

Or you could do the simple thing and install the Homebrew Channel, and use Gecko OS to load the game.

Regardless if you have the latest firmware or not, some games require the system update (kind of like a driver) that is included on some game discs so that the game plays correctly without any problems on your wii.

As you have a jap game and a different region wii, your best option would be to use BrickBlocker on the ISO image to disable the system update on the disc and hope it will play with the update disabled but you could still have the issue of kthe game not running :)

Thnaks.

Thanks guys, I've installed HBC and the Gamma loader. How can I make sure I've got all the latest features installed? Also Naruto Ex3 is crashing, do I need to change any of the config settings e.g force PAL/NTSC etc to fix this?
