I have a European Wii (PAL) with the 4.0 update succesfully installed. I also have the homebrew channel and i believe its the Backup launcher 0.3 gamma.
Now i burned the game to a Verbatim DVD-R using imgburn and at the speed of 2x as i do for all my backups. I have not had an issue playing any games up until this weekend when im trying the new Grand slam tennis (PAL)
The only thing i can think of is perhaps the backup launcher i have is not compatible and i need to install a new one? If this is the case can anyone advise how i should do this and also if it isnt the case can anyone offer some advice on what steps i should take to be able to play this game.
My backup of Grand Slam Tennis works perfectly. Its a NTSC game and i have a PALwii. Im using backup launcher 0.3 gamma. Im on 3.4e though, not 4.0. burnt on verbatim dvd-r at 6x speed
One thing i have noticed is that the motion plus video crashes the wii, also does this on tiger woods 10 and virtua tennis 09
Have a look on the forum, im sure this error 0002 has a fix available
I didnt realise Grand Slam tennis would work on 3.4e? I updated to 4.0e as i needed to so EA Active would work on my wii, my older backed up games work ok, Mario Galaxy, House of the dead 2 and 3, Guitar Hero world tour, big beach sports...
But none of them are really new games like the newly released Grand Slam tennis which makes me think there is a problem with the software im using to play the backed up games.
that guide is a bit of a toughy to follow seeing as i already have wad manager 1.3, homebrew channel and the backup launcher installed. Im not really sure on the best course of action.
Larrylje is normally the king of these problems and his guides have helped me out no end in the past, i owe him alot actually. Is he still around these parts?
Also i must add, the game shows ok in the disc channel...
